— About

The tool I wanted to use.

Tortuga Trades was born because keeping a trade journal and a portfolio in spreadsheets was a job in itself. I build it daily and use it with my own account.

I trade options, stocks and ETFs with my own account. Tortuga is the journal and portfolio I was missing: every feature exists because I needed it or a user asked for it.

The story.

Late 2025

Trying what was out there

My trades were scattered across platforms like getquin and TradeZella, plus the eternal spreadsheet. Each did half the job: a journal without a portfolio, or a portfolio without a journal.

Early 2026

Tortuga is born, for personal use

I started building the platform for myself, completely free, connected to my own broker account. The rule from day one: read-only access and unvarnished numbers.

Spring 2026

The first users

I shared it with a few users and acquaintances. Their feedback set the course: since then, every new feature comes from a real request.

Summer 2026

Options, in depth

Options became the heart of the product: premiums, expirations, Greeks, radar and alerts — the kind of tracking no other tool offered.

Today

Subscription and professionalization

The subscription arrived and everything got professional: daily broker sync, an iPhone app, a community and a public changelog that moves almost daily.

In numbers.

Aggregated, rounded data from real accounts connected to Tortuga.

Built in public

Tortuga ships improvements almost daily, all written down in the public changelog. New features come from real user requests — if you miss something, tell us and it will most likely make the list.
